Ben and Kate had the most memorable wedding day. They live in Washington DC but returned to tie the knot in front of their closest friends and family on Kate's home turf. What resulted was the sweetest outdoor ceremony held in the field next to Kate's childhood home. Guests perched on straw bales and Christmas trees lined the aisle. There were stars and there were stripes.

 

Kate wore an elegant asymmetrical silk chiffon gown by Romona Keveza. Blousy white peonies 'starred' in her bouquet (see what I did there?) created by mother-in-law-to-be, Sheila, who also made a fantastic wedding cheese-cake.

 

The bride and groom had photographs in the grounds of Kate's childhood home which included a field of Christmas trees of all shapes and sizes. Kate's father had grown these for years and they had such special significance, it was wonderful to be able to capture these in their wedding photographs. Here are some highlights from their day:
